Diagnostic Services

Our pets can't speak, they cannot tell us if they feel unwell or have any other indicators of internal illness. They will actively mask signs of illness until late in the course of disease. This stems from survival instincts in a pack or colony situation. Therefore we oftentimes need to run diagnostic tests to determine what is going on with them, as well as sometimes running routine screening tests to detect underlying disease BEFORE it is clinically apparent.

Here at West Prince Veterinary Hospital we have an in-house diagnostic laboratory to ensure we can get answers as quickly as possible. Here is a list of some of the diagnostics we are able to perform in-house:

• Blood work using our IDEXX laboratory
• Radiographs
• Dental Radiography
• Ultrasonography
• Urinalysis
• Cytology
